Nice Bank hol ride out early morning as loads to do later. Just done a 15 miler with a couple of mates, same standard as me with average speed range over 40 miles of around 14 mph.
Def could really ride with the fast guys due to up slopes where I really struggle due to weight. We shared the lead and pace which was less than my PB over 15 miles so this was handy because I had a easy ride if am honest. I was a little stiff from Sundays foiling session so all good.
Route was Sproughton Claydon North Ipswich and back.
On a couple of front sessions (we changed ever 5 mins) I managed 17mph on flat so was well pleased cranking the big wheel, with a pretty low HR of 125 at that speed.
Great ride with the guys and we all area next to up the pace to try average 15mph over the 15 miles. The others haven't gone anywhere near 40 miles, so they are looking forward to me running them that far! Got back in time for a nice barbecue.
